please realize it is not the regulations of gun ownership that bother most people, it is the government telling us the populace that we can not buy or possess the guns.

The 2nd amendment is in place to prevent tyranny by our own government, not from outside sources.

a weapons ban is not only illegal it is immoral based on our Constitution, we as free citizens have the right and responsibility to safe guard ourselves and our families.

In many of the assaults you mention above does not even scratch the surface of the situations in Chicago IL and New York City most the people that possess guns do not have them registered, and yes they do mean to do you harm.

If you look at the fact that more deaths are a result of other items other than a gun you would realize that gun violence even when you include the higher crime cities like LA, Chicago and NY, is still rather low.

definition of a WEAPON: anything to cause harm, anything that is used either as it is intended purpose or non-intended purpose is a weapon. i.e. if someone where to grab a lanyard that most children are required to wear in schools now a days and it is not equipped with a break-away mechanism it can be used as a weapon, i.e. to create great bodily harm, death, strangulation.

The gun is an inanimate object, the gun is not the violent one, but the person that uses it is the violent object.

Free will is and will always be the downfall of this society.

If you read what I wrote, I said that I believe people kill people, not guns kill people. I also did not say that the right to bear arms should be taken away. I said it should be harder to obtain a gun.
